Event | Grey Goose's Brassaii

Location: 461 King Street W.

To begin the Halloween tradition, the appeal to sip some cocktails and watch haunting performances was something unique to Brassaii Restaurant and Lounge. For the night, it was transformed into La Maison Gothique in accommodation of the "House of Omens" show, featuring gothic silk aerialists, fire performers, and possessed contortionists.

The place is surrounded by polished cobblestone, giving it an earthy yet urban ambiance.

With a well orchestrated Cirque de Soleil kind of show, mixed with a social ambiance of both a club and lounge, it was definitely a memorable night. Happy Halloween everyone!

The first show I attended was Day 3 of WMCFW for Narces, by Nikki Wirthensohn Yassemi. The line showcased bridal dresses and evening gowns, which were all magnificent. A majority of the pastel-coloured dresses had a sweetheart neckline and embodied in lace and floral detailing.

The Stephan Caras runway was my favourite out of the ones that I attended. Not only did I get a closer view on the details of the dresses, but everything felt whimsical. I don't exactly know how to put it, but the outfits were sophisticated, modern, and feminine. Honestly very tasteful.

Mikael D. was the last show of the night as well, wrapping up WMCFW with platinum blonde wigged models, like Sia (as depicted above). With Sia's"California Dreamin" rendition playing during the show, I couldn't help but think that this wasn't all a coincidence. I absolutely loved how glamorous the outfits were. They were extremely be-dazzled with sparklies which was very captivating. Ironically, the camera does no justice in how fabulous they are but I finally got to focus better than all the other runway shows, hence there are more pictures.

Kai, who I recently learned was also from Toronto, sang some of her songs for her upcoming EP album. I've heard one of her songs through an ADC remix so seeing her live was refreshing.

Annnd that's a wrap for WMCFW. Catching a glimpse of how Toronto is progressing in the Fashion Industry was both impressive and breath-taking. It makes me even more proud to be living in this city.

Shoutout to @MyblockTO and @BestofTorontoTV for sharing this experience with me.
